"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." Mark Twain

A day of reorganization.

Put some laundry in the washer and took a shower....put the clothes in the dryer and got a haircut, the model of efficiency.

Cleaned and organized the truck and the camper...things were getting unruly in there.

This giant crane toppled into the Chena River today in downtown Fairbanks. The operator suffered no more than a broken arm. It took them all day to get the crane standing upright again. The crane part destroyed a fence on the opposite side of the river....it was a pretty tall one.

The crowd cheered each time they took a section of the crane away on a flatbed.

Got some cheap souvenirs at Wal-Mart.
